Transitioning to college is a momentus time in life!  It is exciting and hopeful, AND filled with anxieties and some sense of loss. Helping our children prepare for the emotional challenges of this new life direction are just as important, if not more, than making sure they have a well equipped dorm room and the proper classes selected.

This workshop is specifically geared toward young women entering college this fall.  We will be addressing some of the most important issues they may face and offering some concrete tools to manage and cope.  Participants will be guided through expressive exercises designed to empower, increase confidence, and build resources to manage the changes that lay before them. As they enter this next phase of their lives, they will need tools and this workshop will be chock full of them!

Over the course of this workshop, participants will be guided through EFT Tapping, imagery and writing exercises to zero in on specific fears or anxieties that each wants to transform.  We will accompany young women through a process of identifying struggles with the transition and supporting girls as discoveries are made, and celebrating in new insights and perceptions.

We will address topics like:

  • Communication
  • Boundaries
  • Reaching Out
  • Consent
  • Stress Reduction
  • Potential pitfalls

Facilitated by Meg Tobin, LMHC and Mary Tibbits Horan, MSW, along with a special guest with recent college experience to share!
